SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Project Engineer will have regional responsibility for capital project implementation at the Richmond facilities, and other locations as assigned. Projects may range in scope and complexity from minor facility maintenance projects to major capital initiatives. In addition to on-time, on-budget delivery, projects must be implemented to ensure optimum plant performance, maintaining quality food products, worker and environmental safety, and the lowest feasible conversion cost. This individual will also provide technical leadership to ensure continuous improvement of equipment and process capability and capacity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for capital project initiation and implementation, using Pinnacle’s Project Management Toolkit.
• Develop and maintain plant drawings, P&ID’s, etc.
• Provides technical expertise for facility and process/package engineering, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
• Acts as a technical resource to plant leadership team(s) on technical issues.
• Provides regular project updates to key plant and corporate stakeholders.
• Seeks and introduces applicable new technology to drive process improvements.
• Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or other pertinent engineering discipline)
MBA or Professional Engineering License is a plus
EXPERIENCE:
• Must have 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering related field with extensive project management experience.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in Process, Packaging, or Facilities Engineering within the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry.
• Must have practical understanding of continuous improvement applications in engineering design.
• Strong experience in process system design and sanitary design.
• Proven cost reduction abilities.
• Multi-plant experience strongly preferred.
SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:
• Must be a high energy, self-starter.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including developing and presenting investment business cases to senior leadership.
• Strong problem solving and plant-floor troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multiple resources (i.e. employees, contractors, consultants, etc.)
• Ability to thrive in a matrix organization, supporting the needs of multiple facilities and corporate priorities.
LOCATION:
Position will be based primarily in the Richmond BC facility.
