Approximatley 10 years of experience, at least five years of which needs to be in a trades supervisory capacity, supervising 15 or more tradesmen at a time is required. The ideal candidate must be a CWB certified welding supervisor. There is often a significant pressure piping component to these projects and therefore experience meeting ASME specs is an asset. Central to the success of TRIUMF are a host of accelerators; a 500MeV high intensity H- cyclotron, room temperature heavy ion linear accelerators, a superconducting heavy ion linac and three small cyclotrons for industrial and medical applications. TRIUMF is currently recruiting an intermediate level High Voltage Engineer who will be responsible for the safe operation, design, testing and troubleshooting of high voltage systems used in the accelerators and in particle and nuclear physics experiments.
